He's gritting his teeth and looks tense, but incredibly distracted by whatever's on his mind. Not lifting his gaze, it'll be rather easy to run into him, now, wouldn't it?

[ Pikachu hops off his shoulder and prepares itself for battle. ]
[This battle is going to be such an erratic mess. xD;]
[Pansear appears in a flash of white, with balled up fists and in a battle stance.
Chili stares hard in determination.] Fire Punch!
[Pansear's fists erupt in flames and it's going in to attack!]
[ CHILI CALM DOWN PLS ]
[ Pikachu's cheeks sparks before unleashing the electric attack in attempt to stop Pansear in its tracks. ]
[NO, HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO CALM DOWN. :D;;]
[HE SHOULD LEARN FROM HIS BROS]
Pikachu, now use Iron Tail!
[ Pikachu jumps into the air and does that little spin he does when using Iron Tail before aiming the tail down at the monkey below. ]
[HE SHOULD, BUT HE'S SO STUBBORN.]

[Pansear had been so caught up in trying to pull its paw out that the reverse order confused it into inaction—
The hit landed all too easily on the trapped Fire Type.
A humiliatingly quick defeat, sending Chili into shocked silence.]
[WELP THAT DOESN'T HELP. AT ALL.]
[ It was a brief moment of joy when Ash notices that he had won the battle. But then he notices that Chili is really... silent. He frowns a little and starts walking in his direction with Pikachu meeting him halfway. ]
Chili?
[Aaaaand only getting "better." xD;;;]
[He quietly holds out his pokeball.]
Pansear, return.
[His voice is quiet and oddly calm. Unnaturally so.
He just turns away, without looking at Ash, as if he hadn't even heard him.]

Chili? Hey, are you okay?
[ Because you most certainly do not look like it ]

... what makes you so strong?
[ SORRY CHILI HE'LL TRY TO MAKE UP FOR IT??]
[ Why is Chili asking him that all of a sudden ]
A lot o' training and it's all thanks to my Pokemon too. I wouldn't be strong at all without 'em.

That's it, I've made my decision. [He lifts his head high, hands on his hips, looking confident and strangely calm.]
See ya, Ash. Tell Cilan not to look for me, 'cause I've gone mountain training!

I also became strong because o' my friends! If it weren't for them and my Pokemon [ who are also classified as friends ok ] I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have!
[He's going to inspire that reaction a lot right now, isn't he? ^^;;;; ... ah, reckless characters!]

Who says y' can't have y' own unique strength? [ his strength is pretty unique... ash thinks at least ] Can't we all protect what's important t' us together?

[Hey, Ash, you've been pretty good about this not getting into a brawl with other trainers thing for a while now, right? Chili's going to break it with a punch, hoping you'll duck/run a away/do anything that'll give him an opening to make his get-away.]

[ He sees Chili coming to break it with a punch but he doesn't try to move until it's too late and gets knock to the ground. He puts his hand to where he was punch and frowns at Chili. He's really upset now ]

[ Don't make him tackle you or something which is what he's considering at this point ]

[Come at him, bro, try and tackle him and he'll
probably go down quickly, he's a twiggy waiter-boypunch you in the gut!][ YEP SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT ]
[ What did you expect him to do when he saw you upset like that! He's managing to keep himself from doing so but the thought is still there. Meanwhile Pikachu is just on the side really really wishing that the two would calm down ]

If all this shouting and anger doesn't provoke him, Chili will turn to rude, low-blows, because that's the sort of guy he is when he's angry. Chili rarely thinks his decisions through, so he makes a lot of hasty, horrible ones, the sheer hideousness of which only come to light long after the damage has been dealt:]
Didn't your mom teach you any manners?! You damn brat!
[... nonetheless, insulting Delia Ketchum easily claimed a high position on the List of All-Time Horrible Decisions.]
